| Loreto Baja California offers a championship 18 hole golf course located next to Inn at Loreto Bay Resort, formerly Camino Real Loreto. The Campo de Loreto Golf was originally designed by renowned architects Mario Shjetman Danton and Pedro Guereca, the course featured numerous sand traps and two beautiful lakes that create obstacles, however this golf course has undergone major renovation and was completed in 2007. It is now a David Duval Signature Course. David is the 2001 winner of the British Open. The course is was designed using eco-focused management systems and other principles of sustainable development. The front nine is a links-style course with gently sloping fairways and the back nine has mangroves with water coming into play on many holes. The course travels along the Sea of Cortez coastline, captivating one while naturally blending into the surrounding desert and the Sierra de la Giganta mountains. |
